Do you have the heart to learn more about the game of football? Do you wish football season would never end? Do you have skill player potential but youth football weight limits have forced you to play on the line? Are you a serious student of the game? Don?t sit around this winter...if you want to get an edge on next season then it?s time to get onto the Kingdom Football?s playing field, where there is never an off-season!
We are looking for dedicated athletes and coaches who love the game of football. 7 on 7 Winter Training is a football instructional program where acceptance is not based on a try-out. It is a ten-week clinic, camp and league all wrapped into one! 7 on 7 Winter Training features teams where each week players start on one side of the ball and play the entire game. The fast paced, indoor/arena style, ?passing league? includes flag action, no pads or equipment are needed. Be a part of it, register today! Hurry, only 24 5th-6th grade will be registered!
Past players of 7 on 7 said their football ability and knowledge improved on average from a 7.12 rating to a 9.19 rating (on a 10 point scale). Players were also quoted as saying the 7 on 7 program ?is a great way to spend the off-season.? When evaluating the results of the 2005 7 on 7 season, players said they learned: to hustle more, that effort is better than ability, to work and play as a team, better ways of holding your blocks, the importance of studying a playbook, to appreciate the game more, how to take a handoff and run the ball, how to properly catch and tuck a football, how to read defenses and check off receivers as a QB, to get into a better stance, how to play zone defense, how to cover your man and keep him in front of you, and how to run good pass routes.
Parents of past 7 on 7 players saw their sons improve in their football ability and knowledge through: playing on both sides of the football, working on catching skills and pass routes, learning new defenses and offensive plays, experiencing new positions, improved ball handling skills, increasing agility and speed, gaining self-confidence, grew in maturity and leadership, increasing his commitment to the sport, becoming a more aggressive player, learning the importance of a positive attitude and the importance of working together, by having a better overall understanding of the game as whole.
Team information: There will be a maximum of 12 players to one team. New teams are made up every two weeks and are not geographically based. Legitimate car pooling requests must be put in writing and are taken into consideration when making of weekly teams. Players sign up for and are trained in at least one offensive and one defensive position. The positions include: quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, linebacker, cornerback and safety. There are no weight restrictions for player positions. Even though a player may sign up for a preferred position he may not always start a game in that same position. Flexibility is the key!
Coaching Information: The 7 on 7 program utilizes volunteer football coaches who serve in three major roles, a position training coach, a team coach, and small group discussion leader. All coaches must be fully committed to the program philosophy, features and schedule. All coaches must also be experienced in position coaching, help plan respective drills, and prepared to teach offensive play schemes and zone/man defenses. Interested coaches should complete the Registration Form, and agree to become a member of AAU, AYF, and the National Youth Sports Coaches Association. As a benefit, KFM will pay for the initial NYSCA membership fee.
Game Format: Players will compete in one game per game night. Games will be played at an indoor field facility. Each game consists of one 50 minute running clock except for a stop and go clock for the last two minutes. A complete list of rules will be handed out. A two person professional referee team will help to manage the games. The first game starts in January. Players must arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the game, late arrivals lose playing time.
Practice Format: For the first two weeks starting in January practices will be held on Thursdays at Soutminster Presbyterian Chruch locationd just south of 675 on 48/Main Street, on Mondays at the Epiphany Lutheran Church Gym located just north of 675 and Loop Road on 48/Main Street in Centerville, and on Friday night at the Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, Ohio. After the first game players will only practice one night a week. The pre-practice starts at 6:00 teaches ball handling skills, the 6:15 practice includes a warm-up followed by a strength, agility and quickness (SAQ) session, and football skill development drill the 15 minute Power Talk starts at 7:00 PM, afterwards, players work on individual position skills, and/or conclude the practice session with competitive group and/or team work.
Attendance Policy: All players must attend practice in order to play in games.
Registration: The registration fee is $125.00 and includes: facility rental, carpeted practice church gym space, referee fees, reversible Kingdom Football game shirt, mouth piece, practice equipment, handouts, incentives, giveaways, awards, and a pizza celebration. Payment of the fee can be broken down into two payments, a down payment of $65.00 due with the Registration Form, and a $60.00 final payment due the first day of the first week of practice, or the player does not participate. A simple fundraiser program is available for parents who would like to to be reimbursed for all or part of the registration fee. Formal written requests must be made for scholarship information.
Acceptance Criteria: The following criteria will be used: -First come, first serve, acceptance is based on the date of receipt of the completed registration form and a down payment of $65.00. -Registration is on an individual basis, there are no team sign-ups. -All players and coaches must become a member of American Youth Football (AYF) and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) in order to participate. AAU is the insurance provider of the 7 on 7 Winter Training program. -Registration Notice - Players who played 2009 football for a club team or who did not play 2009 football are eligible. According to the OHSAA, players who played 2009 middle school football for an OHSAA member school risk their 2010 eligibility by participating in this program.

Kingdom Football?s 7 on 7 Winter Training is an athletic program designed to give your child a boost during the winter season. We give him ?something to do? with a sport he enjoys and looks forward to playing. We help him to develop as an athlete by teaching and training him through quality certified coaches that care about each individual athlete. He will practice the DRILLS, that teach the SKILLS, and experience the THRILLS of playing the great game of football.
Another major feature of the 7 on 7 program is the 15-minute Power Talk. Here players participate in a number of discussions relating to character development. All of the topics are Bible and sports based, and designed to help each player understand the Christian faith and mature as a young man. In addition, players will also hear testimonies from a number of Christian coaches and athletes who desire to share their football experiences and life lessons.
Players of past 7 on 7 programs said they saw their relationship with God grow on average from a 6.15 rating to a 8.62 rating (on a 10 point scale). Players also made these statements: ?I learned how to pray to God more?, ?If you ask Him into your heart He will be with you for the rest of your life?, ?He is my leader through life?, ?You always win with God?, ?That going to heaven is a gift?, ?I learned how to play for God?s glory?, ?Always trust God in the hard times?, ?God strengthens you in times of weakness?, ?God will never leave you?, ?God is our foundation in life and in football.?
