Name: 2009 Buckeye Invitational Youth Football Championships (BIYFC)

Location: Multiple Middle School and High School stadiums located throughout Montgomery, Greene and Warren Couties in Southwest Ohio.  Saturday games will be played on grass fields, and Sunday championship games will be played on synthetic all weather turf fields. Saturday Locations: Greeneview High School Stadium, Xenia Middle School Stadium, Waynesville High School Stadium, West Carrollton Middle School Stadium, West Carrollton High School Stadium.  Sunday Locations: Centerville High School Stadium, Monroe High School Stadium.

Description: Every football player is a champion whether their team finishes at the top or bottom of their fall league. This tournament has been put together to provide an extra special opportunity for youth players by extending their season and helping them finish with a post season experience. This tournament is also a fun opportunity for coaches who are looking for some variety while playing teams outside of their league.

Weigh-in note: Players will weigh-in outside at the field, players may strip down to all except game pants, players get a 5 pound allowance for pants/pads. 

General Information
? The BIYFC is only for 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U full contact tackle football teams located throughout the midwest region.
? The tournament fee is $300.00 per team. The first eight fully completed Team Registration Packets per age group received with a down payment of $150.00 will participate in the tournament.  Each age bracket can have up to tweleve teams, but adding additional teams forces teams seven through twelve to play their games on Friday night (11/20) under the lights.  Please make out cashier's checks, money orders or business checks to Kingdom Football Ministries.
? To receive a Team Registration Packet contact the Tournament Director Brent Coeling. The Team Registration Packet includes: Cover Letter,  Flier, 8-Team Skeleton Tournament Bracket, Team Entry Form, Code of Conduct/Waiver Form (make copies for players and coaches).
? The BIYFC is for players who cannot turn 7, 9, 11, 13 or 15 before August 1st, 2009, respectively per age group.
? All teams are guaranteed at least two games and will play no more than four games in two days. Eight bracket teams will compete for 3rd/4th, and 1st/2nd. Teams finishing first will receive individual trophies and a team trophy, teams finishing 2-4 will receive medallions and team trophies. All players will receive at least a particiaption gift.
? All teams must keep a Player Verification Book ? The book must include the following: 1. Multiple typed lists of coach and player names (first and last names), players listed in order by home game jersey number. 2. Must have an individual file for each player using a clear page saver sheet containing the following in numerical order of home game jersey numbers: A. Individual ?waist to head? photo of player wearing home game jersey with visible jersey number, B. Copy of Code of Conduct/Waiver Form, and C. Copy of official birth certificate with state seal.
? Team verifications and will occur one hour prior to the first game time on Saturday.

? Teams will flip a coin for home team. The visiting team is responsible for finding volunteers to run the down markers.

? All games will consist of four (4) equal eight (8) minute quarters, two (2) minutes between quarters, five (5) minutes for halftime, and 30 seconds between plays.
? A Touchdown is worth 6 points. Extra points are awarded as follows: 1 point for kicks and 2 points for runs and passes.
? In the event the score is tied at the end of regulation, overtime rules will be used. The ball will be placed on the 20 yard line, with the team winning the coin toss having the option of choosing to be on offense or defense. The offense will advance the ball until stopped, or a score results. The opposing team will have the same opportunity. The team with the highest score will win the game.  If there is a second overtime, the teams will be required to start on the 10 yard line go for two points.
? Sidelines are limited to the head coach and assistants, and sideline helpers.
? Headset communication devices are allowed by coaches.
? When possible, games will begin with both teams gathering at midfield and a non-denominational Christian prayer.
? Teams provide their own game ball (6U/8U K2 or PeeWee, 10U PeeWee or Junior, 12U Junior or Youth, 14U Youth).
? There will be a three man team referee group for all games.
? Any topic not discussed is covered by the Ohio High School Association and its rules.
? The tournament director will have the final decision in any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the games.
